MARIA FIGHTS WITH CANCER
Music is a language that touches human hearts the most. Music was and is an important part of our sister Maria’s life. She preferred to communicate with people using sounds describing the beauty of the world. Always smiling, full of energy, she passionately implemented ideas enriching the cultural life of her environment. She was the founder and for many years the president of the Music Society in Inowrocław. Music is her passion. 12 notes composed into a melody led her through a well composed life. Nobody presented this world so beautifully to people – young and old – like Maria.

Suddenly a fake note sounded in the melody of her life. At the beginning of 2017, abdominal pain appeared. Initially, the examination did not give results. Only extended diagnostics brought – as it seemed to her at the time – a terrible judgment. Pancreatic cancer. Maria did not give up. She underwent major surgery followed by chemotherapy. Initially, she attributed neurological symptoms to toxic treatment, but tomography doctors put Maria before another challenge. Weakened by a difficult fight against CANCER, she learned that she had a brain metastasis … A false note appeared again in the melody of her life …
June 2018. Neurosurgeons undertook surgery to remove a tumor in the brain, but it resulted in right hand paresis. Long-term rehabilitation brought a slight improvement. 
However, the disease persists. Maria’s world began to fade away. Music was dominated by fear.
Fear and pain have become commonplace. They lurked in every corner, not weakening even for a moment. And although strength and determination in the fight, Maria amazes everyone, this debilitating treatment has silenced the music …
And another false note sounded. A recent PET examination showed a recurrence, which means that everything starts from the beginning …
